I stayed away from Pinterest because I knew that I would be sucked in. But, half a year ago when I was planning how to decorate a new house, I logged in. Until recently, I had kept many of my posts to decor, scrapbooking, cooking and other “at home” topics. Now I am branching out.
I have found some great library activity resources. Tonight, I searched for ideas on how to build a library orientation. (With almost 1,000 students, I want to find a way to flip this or make it digital!)
What sent me to Pinterest today, though, was an image of a young boy and this quote:
“Students who are loved at home come to school to learn, and students who aren’t, come to school to be loved. ”
This may be my motto of the year. The library always attracts some interesting characters, many of them looking for a special connection with an adult. They are looking for that love. Below are other images that I pinned tonight to inspire the new year.
