23 Mobile Things: 1. Blogging & Registering #23ThingsMN

The Blog’s the Thing.

Welcome to my first blog post for 23 Mobile Things sponsored by the Minnesota multitype library systems. This is a blogging challenge, open to Minnesota librarians, to explore, discover and share digital tools. As the 23 Mobile Things MN website explains“Each Thing will show you many different apps. These apps will cover a variety of topics: social media, presentations, photography, reference, news, notes, games, and so much more. We have a lot for you to explore and experiment with to determine how you may use these in your library, for your professional development, or personally.”

Thing #1 is to set up a blog and register for the #23ThingsMN.  I already have this blog. I used it daily in 2012. I’m hoping to reignite my posts in 2014. One of the challenges when keeping up on a blog is keeping your topics fresh while maintaining consistency in theme. On my January 1st post, I wrote about how powerful a blog can be for professional reflection.

I think the 23 Things gives me at least 23 focused ideas on which to write. I also look forward to reading other’s blogs on the same topics and building my Professional Learning Network.

Will you be blogging your own 23? If so, please let me know so that I can connect with you, too!
