My blog started with my thoughts on how powerful reflection is on an individual’s growth. John Dewey said, “We do not learn from experience. We learn from reflecting on experience.”
My focus for many of my reflective writings, though, are forward thinking. I see the possibilities of how education is changing. Technology is one powerful change agent. We are encouraging our children to think deeper, to communicate on a larger scale, and to critically solve real world problems. We are teaching digital literacy that is still being defined as the digital world changes each day. We want our children to connect to worlds within books, and we want the to connect to the real world outside the walls and time of the classroom. So, maybe my blog may be about Reflecting Forward.
