Day 12 of 366: I (finally) fell in love with Animoto

I’ve been a late adopter to Animoto. Or, maybe I was such an early adopter that they have deleted my original account. Either way, I have promoted it for years as an easy, professional way to create quick video content. Today I took the plunge back into the project when I worked with Barbara Theirl, a media specialist, to create a publisity piece for an upcoming Nook Night. I am impressed with the final product!

My media specialists are very talented. Also check out this Animoto from my high school media specialist, Wendy Larson.

Pouncer Goes to the Media Center

I think this could be a powerful tool for student project creation, which doesn’t take much time to produce. With planning ahead for the pictures and text, the actual construction of the Animoto may be able to be completed in one lab visit.

Free projects are limited to 30 seconds, but as educators, you can apply for unlimited videos for you and your students. Check out the Education page and all it offers.
