Searching For Just Right Images: Learner Profiles Project

I had an idea form in my head this afternoon. One of those ideas that sits and develops- and then swells into a cascade of thought. I can hardly think of anything else until the idea plays itself out.

There are a lot of different IB Learner Profile posters available. But, none of them quite fit my vision. So, of course, since it doesn’t exist I must make it myself.

I wanted to use some more mature images than some of the posters, like these for example: http://www5.milwaukee.k12.wi.us/school/aal/international-baccalaureate/ib-learner-profile/

I didn’t want to simply focus on photographs, which are more abstract of the idea that I am trying to portray.

So, I ended up searching the wild world wide web. I stumbled across http://www.freepik.com. This site has very copyright friendly, beautiful images. I liked the consistency between some of the pictures that I explored. In fact, all ten of my images came from this site. I liked that my citation credits would be universal.

So, I’ve spent a few hours searching through the vectors collection, looking up key terms trying to find just the right image. Once I have these ten in place, my Learner Profile project will be on its way.

Ironically, the Communicators image is the last one that I am trying to place. I have a pile of downloads to dig through. Once I establish the theme, I will share them here!
