I am very excited to go into classrooms this week to talk about finding reliable sources and citations. I’m leaning towards using the CRAAP model for the source verification system. A few of the teachers at my last school used this.
CRAAP stands for:
- Currency
- Relevance
- Authority
- Accuracy
- Purpose
Below are some quick reference links that I found regarding CRAAP. Going into a middle level classroom, this may get the kids attention just because of the giggles- but hopefully they will remember the lesson, too. Now, to build that lesson. Tomorrow.

What’s your source verification system? Is it CRAAP? Something else?
