Day 252 of 366: The Mac Alias

For two days this week, I got the chance to work with the entire SLP Tech Continuous Improvement Coach team. We covered so many different topics, from short-term needs for supporting the 1:1 project and planning the team’s new website.

Yet, the tiny tip that I keep thinking about is how to change the icon for an alias on the Mac desktop and doc. So many possibilities for customizing the look of items on the computer. More practically, teachers can change their links to Campus from a generic icon to one that represents Campus.

Want to change the image? Find the new image. Right click on the icon you want to change. Choose Get Info. Note the tiny image in the top left corner of the window. Click and drag the new picture and drop it on top of the tiny preview!

What would the first alias you would personalize?
