Day 265 of 366: iPad Rollout Ahead

Next week, iPads land in the hands of students in two of the Spring Lake Park Schools. How their teachers look at access to information will not be the same again. I had a conversation with two high school boys today who had great questions about the iPad rollout. The biggest one: how will these affect my learning? I looked at the boys who were sitting at computers that has been loading for five minutes. They had taken the time to walk from their classroom to the library. By the time they were logged into their class blog, over a third of class was done. I pointed out to them that, when they have iPads, they could blog from their classroom. From the hall. Even from home. They could research, compose and create from their own device. No more traveling for technology. Technology can be used as needed, instead of being an event.

I am so excited to be part of all of this.
