Small Reflections

My reflections feel so small today. I had a good day with my children. My daughter (and I) made some lasagna to hand off to a family that is busy at the moment. I had some quiet time to work through our family to-do list and clean the guest room. My daughter and I had extra one on one time as we organized some crafts and such. And, I made her mad by reading the first chapter of a book to her.

Outside of our bubble, unrest bubbles in Iran. Australia is on fire and the world isn’t watching. Gun deaths are already tallying in Minnesota in the new year.

I can tell you, this was not the deep, uplifting writing that I hoped to share. But this, tonight, is what is on my mind.
