This week, we have had a manual tape calculator out in the media center. Sitting next to the engaging LittleBits, I think they are getting equal attention. After talking about this phenomenon at work, we wondered how our kids would react to a manual typewriter. I can purchase a recently-produced one on Amazon. I wonder if it would have the same impact as a typewriter older than I am. I may need to reach out to see if any dusty typewriters are buried in NJH family archives.
